My fiancee and I both got a Capital one card and we've had it for about 10 months now. However we are unable to get approved from any other credit card issuer. we have always paid our card bill on time. I don't understand what we are doing wrong. please help.

I suppose, you do not know your credit history and you've been trying to apply for cards you are not eligible for. Get your credit report and search for the corresponding cards, it's better to apply for a worse card than a better one, as you'll be sure they will approve you.

I have horrible credit. Just recently, I was approved for a unsecured Tribute Mastercard. I did have credit cards with First Premier Bank. But due to some misfortunes, I was unable to pay off those debts. If I maintain a good history with Tribute, will I eventually be able to receive other credit cards? Also, is it a possibility, I can receive a gas credit card. like Exxon?

When I applied a while back for the Discover Cash Credit About a week later I received a newslletter saying that i can apply later when my credit score is a little bit higher and they sugessted a few ways.
I thought that was very helpful. One of them was try not to apply for too many credit cards.

We have good credit of over 730+ but have a bankruptcy still on our credit report (for another 2-1/2 years). I know that is a big red flag -- but are we will considered in the good credit range and safe to apply for cards for good credit, or does the fact that we have a bankruptcy negate our actual FICO score?

If you are not an American resident, you can't apply for a credit card for Americans, as you don't have US social security number. We carry several credit cards for Canadians, though.
