Credit Card Offers Struggle against Traffic Policemen Grafters
There is nothing strange or unusual about the fact that in Russia many governmental officials still take bribes! Even some regular traffic policemen are grafters! According to the statistics, the biggest numbers of bribes in Russia are given on the road as the procedure of paying road fees is very complicated.
Today credit card offers help the responsible drivers to struggle against dishonest traffic cops!
State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Ulynovsk's district in Russia together with car owners decided to struggle against traffic policemen - grafters with help of credit card offers! From now on, the drivers who broke the traffic rules can pay the fine right away, but not using cash as most of them are used to, but with help of credit cards! This method is absolutely legal.
Now patrol cars are equipped with special banking machines that accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards as well as debit cards! Now the driver can simply enter his or hers card's PIN code, swipe a credit card and pay the government a fee for the violation of the road rule!
For those who have no credit history or low income and don't have a credit card (Russian credit card market is not developed yet), can order special driver's cards worse 300, 500 or 1000 rubles. But Russian drivers have to be aware that if they pay a fine with a credit card, the fine itself will be a little bit bigger, as the bank will charge them 3% for the transaction.
But Russian drivers admit that they are ready to pay the banks as the procedure of paying the fees for the violation of traffic laws is very complicated. Not only do they have to go to the bank and wait a long line to pay a fine, but also bring the payment slip to the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate or send it there by mail!
As you see before the credit cards were there to help, it was easier for drivers to give some cash in hands of traffic policeman as a bribe, in order not to spend their time paying fines!
50 patrol cars in Ulyanovsk district will be equipped with banking machines. But, according to Russian State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, if this experiment goes well, soon every Russian traffic cop will be able to accept debit and credit cards!
Many people argue if credit cards are good or evil. On the one hand, they give us a chance to purchase something that seems unaffordable, give us discounts, rewards, and make us feel comfortable as they are widely accepted.
On the other hand, they can ruin our lives with huge credit card debts, bankruptcy and bad credit history. Some people sell their houses and borrow money from friends and relatives just to pay off their credit card debt.
But in case with Russian drivers, who want to stop traffic policemen - bribe takers, credit cards do nothing but good! It is right when the justice and fairness win!

But among the 3% of recipients completing and returning the application, only some 1.5% if not less actually get approved.
