Credit Card Offers Help to Increase Your Credit Score
12:00:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Did you know that over 80% of Americans use credit cards offers, but not all of them are successful in credit card use. Unfortunately, many Americans are in big credit card debt and even more are facing it!
A lot of people who spoiled their credit histories believe that there is a fast and an easy way to remove all the negative information from their credit reports. They just have to go to credit repair clinic, pay some money and it is all done! But is it really so?
I've been in financial troubles myself. Year 2000 was a bad one for me. I lost my job, got divorced, had some health problems and due to all these things added financial difficulties. I was trying to get a good loan for a car, applied for a credit card offer, but it didn't work. It was a big struggle in my life.
I must warn you that if some one tells you that he or she can legally remove timely and accurately negative information from your credit report - that is not true! It is illegal to attempt to get legitimate negative information from your credit report forever.
I would like to help anyone, who is in financial black hole, to build a good credit history again. Anything that the credit repair company can do to fix your credit report, you can do yourself. The only difference is that you will know that you are not doing anything illegal and will not have to pay a fortune!
If you don't have time or desire to fix your credit report yourself and are asking a credit repair company to help you with your bad credit history, you have to choose the right one. There are several warning signs that you have to take into consideration when you are looking for a credit repair company:
- They ask you to pay beforehand.
- They don't tell you to contact a credit bureau directly.
- They don't inform you on your legal rights and don't tell you what you can do to help yourself for free.
- They advise you to make a new credit report by using your Employer Identification instead of your Social Security Number.
- Ask you to take illegal actions like creating a new credit identity or obtaining a new Social Security Number. Remember that if you commit fraud, you may be prosecuted.
There are some tips that will help you to increase your credit score by yourself. That's what I did:
- I got 2 credit cards; it showed to the creditor my credit worthiness.
- I didn't consolidate all my debt to one low rate credit card and didn't close other accounts. By doing so, I didn't reduce my credit limit and as a result didn't damage my credit score.
So if you were not responsible enough using your credit cards and damaged your credit score, be careful enough not to get into more troubles. Choose the right credit repair company that will not fool you, but help you or if you can, simply help yourself!
very interesting. i\'ve never heard of instant credit repair

The proposed in 2007 better disclosure laws for credit card terms were not enough, as was indicated by consumers' comments. This has led to the new and broader regulations proposed by the Federal Reserve in May 2008 which are coming into force, cracking down on the lenders predatory policies of arbitrary interest rates and excessive fees. The American Bankers Association representatives, as well as all major US banks, are growing uneasy about the inevitable revenue drop they'll incur as a result of the stricter legislation. They warn the Fed and scary customers with unintended impact on lending prices, meaning that once they cannot overcharge high-risk customers, they will shift all the costs on customers who can and will pay. They say to apply for credit will become much more expensive and less available.

Owners of frequent flyer credit cards are developing the habit of playing the ever changing game of the airlines. US major airlines, such as US Airways, Delta and Continental are altering their miles programs and the result may be frustrating for most travelers. Among the recently made changes are a greater number of redeemable miles required, fewer bonuses and new fees.
Whether suchlike alterations hurt consumers has not been revealed yet as the number of mileage cards currently in use holds steady. For over three years that number has been around 45 million, according to The Nilson Report. While it's curious to observe future developments, let's lay out the specifics of the established new requirements. It may influence your choices when you decide to apply for a card online.

Some US credit consumers have recently found themselves confused after purchasing their credit scores at one or all the major credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. Their confusion gets a vivid expression through the following question sent to us by one of our readers: "Your website puts the credit score range as 350-850; however when I requested my credit scores through TransUnion and Experian, the range was 501-990, which makes someone with a 650 credit score a poor credit customer. Is the info on your website outdated and how often do you update?"
In this article, we'll try to give a comprehensive explanation to this issue so that credit card applicants get a clear picture of their chances when trying to get a new credit card or another loan.
