But what is the best time to ask your company for better conditions? If you have good or excellent credit, but your APR is over 12%, it is high-time to make a call! Most credit card companies will think that a good credit card user with good paying history certainly deserves to have a good interest rate.
But what if you have bad or no credit and have a credit card with high interest rate? If you were responsible with your card: kept your balance low and made payments on time for a year or so, you should give your credit card company a call and ask for a lower rate.
Some credit cards feature low interest rate for a specific period of time and then it gets increased. According to the new law, they are required to give you a notice two weeks before they plan to increase your rate!
Don't hesitate to call your credit card company in order to get a better deal! Remember they don't want to loose you. All you have to do is to be patient and persistent and then you will definitely get what you want!
